Glory Ames (“Cailleach”) was Baby of the Month, April 1997.

Anna Besonen (“Caught”, “Vincent”) is an aspiring storyteller. She is in her third year at MSUM as a BFA drawing and illustration major. She draws a majority of her artistic inspiration from folklore, fables, and fantasy. “Vincent” character and design belong to @arcanegold on Twitter.

Abigail Bormann (“Buffalo River Trails”, “Memento Vivere”) is a 2022 graduate of MSUM with a degree in chemistry. She enjoys painting and drawing in her free time.

Sadie Carlson (“Rest in Peace”) is a senior at MSUM. She has been interested in writing for a long time. In high school, she took a creative writing class, where she wrote a couple of short stories. Last semester, she took Introduction to Creative Writing. Her major is economics, but she hopes to someday be a professional writer.

Ashton DeLuney (“Kindred the Rainbow”) is an animation major from the Twin Cities who specializes in writing, storyboards, and character designs. When he’s not doing that, he’s spending his time acting and hanging out with friends! (Also eating food).

Molli Erickson (“My Soul Feels Quiet These Days”) is a poet from Montevideo, Minnesota. Her love of poetry was sparked by her 8th grade English teacher, Mrs. Enevoldsen. Molli is very excited to have her work published for the first time! Most of her poetry revolves around the themes of love and loss, life being lived and life being lost. She hopes that people find themselves represented in her work, and that it might help them not feel so alone.

Haylee Haylee (“The Headless Horseman Found Your Head”) is a graphic design major with a certificate in sequential art. She’s been drawing for most of her life and it’s the one thing that makes her the happiest.

Brian T. Lynch (“Issues”) is an adjunct English Professor at MSUM. Besides writing, he also enjoys cooking food (like gumbo and French onion) from scratch, playing a good round of disc (or traditional) golf, and talking with interesting people from all walks of life. He thinks poetry is the ultimate language, and tries to stay on the cutting edge of developments in the field and in practice.

Juliann Stark (“Dying Night”) is originally from Hastings, Minnesota and now studies in the counseling graduate program at MSUM. She has been writing fiction and poetry since childhood. She currently lives, writes, studies, and plays dungeons and dragons in Fargo with her partner and their cat, Ethel.

Callie Stonecipher (“A Cat in Autumn”, “Pumpkin Head”) is a junior in the animation program and is also minoring in graphic and interactive design and film production. She stays busy outside of class with Animation Club, Solfire, MSUM Women’s Club Volleyball, and hanging out with her friends.

Demi Turner (“Pumpkin Head”) has been an artist her entire life, and has recently been working towards making art her full time career. She graduated from MSUM in 2019 with a degree in animation, and has had her work published in previous Red Weather Issues. When she isn’t creating art or working, she uses her free time to play videogames, watch movies, kayak, gain inspiration from other artists, and spend time with her dog, cat, and partner. To see more of Demi’s art, check out her website daystarillustration.com or find her Instagram @daystarillustration.

Ariana Vedbraaten (“Differences and Similarities”, “Time and Its Meanings”) is a member of Red Weather and will graduate in the spring. Her major is psychology and she has a minor in English and art therapy.

Brooklyn Weiss (“Home II”) is a studio art major who is graduating Fall 2022.
